For any of you unfamiliar with Apartment Therapy’s cure, the gist is that you are given an assignment each weekday for a month which works towards the final goal. As the first two assignments for the style cure, I took a style interview and then spent the weekend looking for style inspiration. And since there’s nothing like August heat in North Texas to sap all desire to leave the house, I found my inspiration via magazines, catalogs, and Pinterest.
I like to think of my style as relaxing and casual, and I want friends to be equally comfortable if we are hosting a football game watch party or a classy dinner party. These pictures I found all have that classy casual vibe, and look way more put-together than my house seems right now.
Brewed is a coffee shop and bar in Fort Worth whose atmosphere I love. It’s totally eclectic and totally great.
From Veranda Magazine, I like how this office seems collected and stylish, but has real books not arranged by color in the bookcases instead of them being over styled. The whole house feels attainable for me, unlike most designer/magazine houses.
Essentially, I want my bedroom to be as relaxing as this bedroom…
… So that I can pretend that I am living in this house.
